Production Planner
Job Title: Production Planner
Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for preparing (kitting) and staging production jobs, tracking products through all manufacturing processes, ensuring documentation accuracy, and performing inventory transactions within the ERP system. This role supports smooth production flow, quality assurance, and cross-department coordination.
Responsibilities

Prepare and stage production jobs across all process areas.

Maintain accurate lot traceability and perform ERP inventory transactions.

Review and verify dimensional, cosmetic, spectral, and metrological requirements.

Support engineering by integrating non-manufacturing jobs into production.

Read, interpret, and respond to work orders and lot travelers.

Safely handle and transport materials.

Prioritize and schedule work to meet production deadlines.
Essential Skills
-
Prior planning/materials experience.
-
Experience with ERP systems, ideally INFOR Visual.

Minimum 2+ years experience in production control or production planning.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to perform basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).

Proficiency with MS Office.

High school diploma required.

Work Environment
This role is on-site 5 days per week in Tyngsborough, MA and Westford, MA (15 minutes apart). The environment has a moderate noise level typical of an office with printers and light foot traffic. Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. This is a great opportunity to start as a contractor and transition into a permanent role, with the potential for promotion to a Sr Planner position in the future.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
