Job Summary

The Classroom Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instructional services to students, collaborating with colleagues and families, and ensuring strong academic outcomes. This role includes planning, delivering, and assessing instruction, as well as maintaining thorough documentation and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain an organized, structured classroom environment aligned with the daily schedule.

• Implement designated curricula effectively and with fidelity.

• Document lesson implementation and student progress consistently (daily/weekly).

• Deliver Core Knowledge lesson plans and adhere to the established sequence.

• Participate in all required professional development sessions.

• Attend weekly grade-level meetings, weekly/bi-weekly Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings, and bi-monthly staff meetings.

• Participate in IEP meetings as needed.

• Complete required Special Education documentation and implement classroom accommodations outlined in IEPs and 504 Plans.

• Conduct weekly (designated) peer practice sessions for 30 minutes.

• Attend and conduct four parent-teacher conferences annually (two in fall, two in spring).

• Participate in Back to School Night, open houses, and other mandatory evening events.

• Perform assigned morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties.

• Support, adhere to, and uphold all school policies and procedures.

• Carry out additional duties assigned by grade-level leaders, department heads, and the Leadership Team.
