CMM Quality Assurance Specialist (AS9100)

Role focus

• Execute first-piece, in-process, finished-part, and first article inspections to defined quality standards.
• Produce and archive electronic inspection reports per customer drawings and specifications.
• Complete quality documentation accurately: nonconforming material records, travelers, and control charts.
• Interpret and apply blueprints, travelers, work instructions, process specifications, and sketches to inspection activities.
• Verify calibration status and compliance of inspection equipment, machines, and tools.

Required and preferred qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical training in manufacturing technology and/or ASQ Certified Inspector is a plus.
• Strong command of GD&T; proven ability to read machining and fabrication drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Windows tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with MRP systems.
• Advanced shop math; trigonometry capability is a plus.
• Zeiss CMM with Calypso software experience (running/programming) is a plus.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, AS9102, ASTM’s) preferred; AS9100 experience valued.
• ITAR compliance: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
