Star CNC Machinist
Job Description
One of our client is seeking an experienced Star CNC Machinist to work in a precision machining environment. This role focuses on operating, setting up, and maintaining Star CNC machines to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance components while meeting production and quality standards .
The ideal candidate is hands-on , detail-oriented , and experienced in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement .
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain Star CNC machines
Perform machine adjustments , program edits , and troubleshooting
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Conduct in-process and final quality inspections
Ensure precision machining and tight tolerances
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet manufacturing deadlines
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Support continuous process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Strong experience operating CNC machines , specifically Star CNC equipment
Proficiency in precision machining , editing CNC programs , and troubleshooting
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment
Technical certification or formal training in CNC machining or manufacturing technology
