Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Truck Repair
Location: Lowell, MA
Pay: $35–$45/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:00/4:00/5:00 PM | 45–50 hrs/week + OT
Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a busy heavy truck repair operation. Focus is primarily on heavy trucks with some trailer work. This role requires strong diagnostic ability, computer-based troubleshooting, and hands-on engine teardown and rebuild experience . The ideal candidate can work independently and handle complex repairs — not just parts replacement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Perform computer and software-based diagnostics
• Complete engine teardowns, rebuilds, and overhauls
• Conduct full mechanical repairs across multiple truck makes
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience as a diesel or heavy truck mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and computer diagnostic skills
• Proven engine rebuild and teardown experience
• Experience across multiple truck brands
• Must have own tools and valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently with high attention to quality
Compensation & Benefits:
• $35–$45/hr based on experience
