Admin Assistant (Entry Level)
Job Title: Administrative / Clerical Assistant (Entry-Level)
Pay Rate: $17–$18/hr
Duration: 6–9 month contract (potential for extension)
Schedule: Standard business hours (Monday–Friday)
Position Overview:
This is an entry-level opportunity supporting general administrative and clerical functions in a professional office environment. The role is well-suited for individuals looking to transition into a corporate setting, including those with backgrounds in retail, food service, or other customer-facing roles.
The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop foundational administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Perform data entry and maintain basic records
- Handle incoming mail, filing, and document organization
- Assist with day-to-day office tasks and coordination
- Support team members with various administrative needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor with a willingness to learn and take direction
- Stable work history preferred
Preferred Background:
- Experience in customer service, retail, food service, or similar environments
- Exposure to administrative or receptionist duties is a plus, but not required
