Assistant Controller
Assistant Controller | Burlington, MA | Hybrid
$130–150K base + bonus
Our client, a growing company in the Burlington area is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team in a highly visible, hands-on accounting role reporting directly to Finance leadership.
Responsibilities Include :
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee reconciliations
- Support AP, AR, invoicing, and cash management processes
- Assist with inventory analysis and operational accounting activities
- Partner cross-functionally to improve accounting workflows and reporting
- Support ERP/system enhancements and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with financial reporting, internal controls, and ad hoc analysis
Qualifications Include:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience in an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller capacity preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Hands-on accounting background with willingness to operate in the details
- Experience working within ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
