Your Role:
As a Care Navigator at Firefly, you are an essential pillar in our commitment to patient-centered care. You play a crucial role in shaping the healthcare experience for our patients, serving as a guide and advocate. Whether assisting with the intricacies of referrals, simplifying the maze of insurance authorizations, or resolving any other healthcare challenges our patients may face, your involvement ensures that their journey is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
You will:
- Facilitate end-to-end referrals by connecting all Firefly patients to the right healthcare providers and services within and outside of Firefly
- Act as a specialized point of contact for patients when they require referrals or navigation services, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and well-guided through these aspects of their healthcare journey
- Work closely with our internal healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
- Oversee insurance authorizations, prior authorizations and note retrievals to make healthcare access seamless for our patients
- Develop and maintain solid partnerships with external healthcare networks and providers
You ’ d be a good fit if:
- Excel in communication, making complex healthcare information easily understandable for our patients
- Are highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for balancing multiple responsibilities
- Possess a strong understanding of healthcare systems and insurance procedures
- Are passionate about making a tangible difference in patients' lives through superior care and service
- Experience with claims investigation and processing
It ’ d be nice if:
- Available to work 11am-7pm EST.
The salary range for this position is $28 per hour to $32 per hour; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Firefly Health is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
Our office is in Watertown, Massachusetts, but we’ve developed a robust remote working structure to give us more geographical flexibility while hiring for many positions. This role can be done largely remotely, there are several times a year when staff come together onsite for planning and team building.
