Job Overview

We’re looking for a sales professional to help build our lighting and shading division, generate new business through trade partnerships, and support the sales team as we grow. This role blends sales, relationship-building, and business development in one. Whether you're a seasoned industry hunter or a culturally aligned learner, there's a path forward for the right personality.

You’ll work directly with our leadership and sales team (including our future company owner), and as part of the role, help develop how we track leads, pursue pipeline opportunities, and support long-term client relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Cultivate new business through proactive outreach to builders, designers, architects, and real estate partners.
  • Conduct showroom tours and host builder/designer breakfast events—this is a relationship-first role.
  • Manage client consultations and help scope systems (AV, lighting, shading, etc.) tailored to individual needs.
  • Contribute to internal systems for tracking leads, sales, and pipeline opportunities using Trello.
  • Collaborate with sales team members (especially while one is out on parental leave) to support quoting and proposals.
  • Gradually grow into writing your own proposals and leading end-to-end sales.
  • Help the team expand our lighting and shading division with passion and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • You've got AV, lighting, or design-industry experience and come with trade relationships.
  • You love being out in the field, shaking hands, and driving growth.

  • You’ve got sales chops from another industry and you “get” the high-end home space.
  • You’re eager to learn our world and grow into the role.
  • You’re proactive, professional, and values-driven.

3. Seed (Sales Support & Growth Learner)

  • You’re early in your sales career, but your attitude, curiosity, and initiative are strong.
  • You’re looking for a company that will invest in you—and you’ll invest back with hustle and heart.
  • You’ll start by supporting and learning, then grow into more responsibility.

Compensation

Base Salary: $40,000–$70,000 based on experience plus commission
