- Provide comprehensive patient care for intermediate-to-high acuity medical-surgical populations, including frequent monitoring, physiologic assessments, and rapid response when changes arise.
- Lead timely care planning, implement evolving treatment plans, administer medications per protocol, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary services to optimize outcomes.
- Perform safe patient positioning, wound care, IV therapy, telemetry interpretation, and escalation of concerns with clinical judgment and confidence.
- Mentor less experienced staff, reinforce evidence-based practices, and participate in daily rounding to ensure seamless transitions from ICU to floor, and from hospital to home.
- Embrace ongoing professional growth within the PCU specialty, pursuing certifications, specialty seminars, and cross-training opportunities to expand your scope.
- Thrive in a culture that values patient advocacy, precise documentation, infection control, and patient- and family-centered care.
