About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Athol, Massachusetts, 01331!

Shift Information

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night shift)
• Hours per week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekends:
  • Every other weekend , OR
  • Sometimes every 3rd weekend , depending on department needs
• Holidays: Every 3rd holiday required

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Provides care aligned with standards of nursing practice, protocols, and policies.
• Offers individualized, dignity-focused patient care.
• Conducts patient/family teaching based on assessed learning needs and readiness.
• Plans and coordinates patient discharge, incorporating available support/resources.
• Delegates and supervises tasks appropriately.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively, seeking help or reallocating resources as needed.
• Documents all assessment data, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Provides thorough and timely shift handoff reports to ensure continuity of care.
• Supports professional development for self and colleagues (precepting, training, education).
• Identifies safety risks and opportunities to prevent errors and improve care quality.
• Recognizes ethical issues and develops appropriate plans for resolution.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

• 1 year Med-Surg experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Skilled nursing experience preferred
• If no telemetry experience:
  ➝ Basic Dysrhythmia Course must be completed within 6 months of hire

Licenses & Certifications

• Active MA RN License (must be current)
• ACLS upon hire , OR
  • Must have active BLS (AHA) on hire and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days
