Sandwich Maker - Flour Bakery Central Square
Do you like to eat award winning baked goods and sandwiches? Do you like working on a great team in a wonderful environment?If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for exceptional sandwich makers for our growing team! This is a great position for experienced line cooks or prep cooks. As a sandwich maker, you'll prepare sandwiches with speed and accuracy, while engaging with guests and delivering excellent hospitality. Day-to-day Performance Expectations:
- Follow assembly instructions and recipes accurately and thoroughly to ensure each sandwich is consistently delicious.
- Must be able to deliver consistently great hospitality:
- Engage our guests at Flour by greeting them with a smile, treating them with kindness, and finding the correct answers to any questions they may have.
- Applicants must be enthusiastic, hardworking, possess strong guest service skills, be eager to learn, and be able to work in a professional kitchen environment as part of a team.
- We are seeking self-motivated employees who thrive in a fun, positive, fast-paced team environment with opportunities for advancement.
- Must have the availability to work at least 3-4 shifts, 20 hours a week, including at least 1 weekend day.
- At least 1 year of previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment
- Must be able to maintain proper grooming and uniform standards
- Applicants must be enthusiastic, hard-working, possess strong guest service skills, and be comfortable working in a professional open-kitchen environment.

- Be prepared to be on your feet all day. This is a physically active role.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, sit, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to operate equipment such as ovens, grills, knives and other kitchen equipment and utensils
- Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises, machinery, and at times, tight spaces.
- Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures (at times, you could be in a freezer and/or hot kitchens, etc.)
- We do our best not to cross-contaminate anything containing gluten. However, there may be gluten in the air at times. We do our best to accommodate any staff allergy requests.
This position has an average starting compensation of $20-$24 per hour (base wage of $15 + $5-9 per hour in pooled tips). The starting pay rate for this position is $15, but the total pay range is $15-$19.86. Additional Information:
