Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Supervisor to oversee daily clinical operations and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for supervising nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and coordinating care across departments to promote positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations across assigned units or shifts
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical standards and protocols
• Monitor staffing levels, patient assignments, and workflow to optimize efficiency
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of nursing team members
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff, supporting professional development
• Address and resolve patient care issues, staff concerns, and operational challenges in real time
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational policies
• Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and performance reviews
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of clinical activities and incidents

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in [specific specialty if applicable – e.g., acute care, long-term care, behavioral health]
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Proven ability to mentor and develop clinical staff
• Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities

Work Environment
