We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and rigorous Senior Scientist I to join our Neuroscience Discovery team, as part of the Movement Disorders pillar. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and characterizing novel biologic-based bispecific molecules using human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived dopaminergic neurons and mouse primary neuronal cultures. This role requires strong experimental design, hands-on cell culture experience, and a collaborative spirit to enable high-quality data generation and decision making in support of AbbVie’s strategic neuroscience portfolio.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and typically, 10 years of experience, Master’s Degree or equivalent education and typically 8 years of experience, PhD and no experience necessary.
- Demonstrated expertise in human iPSC-derived neuronal culture; experience with dopaminergic neuron models strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in mouse/rodent primary neuron culture and molecular or imaging-based assays (e.g., calcium imaging, immunocytochemistry, high-content screening).
- Experience with mouse in vivo systems is a plus
- Experience working with protein or antibody-based modulators and understanding biologics mechanisms of action is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this postingbased on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately paymore or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
