Seasonal Winter Area Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field crews and service partners to ensure timely and effective completion of winter service operations.
• Coordinate and communicate storm expectations, dispatching operators and subcontractors as needed.
• Participate in pre-season crew training and complete all required training programs.
• Attend pre-storm and post-storm meetings to align on operational plans and review outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of site visits, services, and equipment using company tools.
• Work collaboratively with on-site operators, shovel crews, site supervisors, and other Area Managers to achieve service goals.
• Ensure all post-storm paperwork, including inspections and inventory, is completed and submitted promptly.
• Report any property or equipment damages, or injuries, immediately to the Branch Manager.
• Safely and efficiently operate a vehicle during winter weather events and travel between locations as required.
• Be available and punctual for all winter events within your assigned area.

Qualifications

• Completion of the JC Grounds Area Manager Training Program (or willingness to complete upon hire).
• Reliable transportation for travel between job sites during winter weather events.
• Valid driver’s license.
• MA Hoisting License 2A.
• Working smartphone for communication and documentation.
• Experience managing field crews and service partners in active job sites.
• Excellent communication and follow-through skills.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and/or previous snow removal experience is recommended.
