Job Description
We are seeking a technically fluent and execution-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead development efforts across embedded systems, firmware, device drivers, Linux-based tools, and Python applications. This role involves managing cross-functional engineering teams that build low-level and systems software, ensuring efficient planning, integration, and delivery across hardware and software domains with a strong emphasis on software development processes and release coordination.
Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate projects involving embedded firmware, Linux driver development, and supporting tools.

Manage project schedules, milestones, and engineering deliverables across software, hardware, and QA teams.

Collaborate with technical leads to define scope, estimate effort, and prioritize features.

Drive Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and reviews, and support CI/CD and release processes across firmware and systems tools.

Identify risks, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment between technical work and business objectives.

Communicate clearly with engineers, stakeholders, and leadership on status, risks, and timelines.

Promote best practices in documentation, version control, and change tracking.
Essential Skills

3+ years of experience in technical project or program management roles.

Proven experience managing software development projects.

Experience managing new product development.

Strong understanding of Agile software development processes and team dynamics.

Familiarity with software release cycles and CI/CD concepts in embedded or Linux-based environments.

Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Git, Notion, and Confluence.

Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Understanding of embedded system architecture and hardware-software integration workflows.

Familiarity with Linux systems concepts like user-space vs. kernel-space and driver architecture.

Exposure to mixed-language environments, such as C/C++ and Python.

Knowledge of Linux kernel modules, device trees, or board bring-up.

The role is based in an R&D facility focused on cutting-edge robotics. The team culture emphasizes high ownership and action-oriented individuals. This is a Permanent position based out of North Reading, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
