Job Description

We are seeking a technically fluent and execution-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead development efforts across embedded systems, firmware, device drivers, Linux-based tools, and Python applications. This role involves managing cross-functional engineering teams that build low-level and systems software, ensuring efficient planning, integration, and delivery across hardware and software domains with a strong emphasis on software development processes and release coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects involving embedded firmware, Linux driver development, and supporting tools.

• Manage project schedules, milestones, and engineering deliverables across software, hardware, and QA teams.

• Collaborate with technical leads to define scope, estimate effort, and prioritize features.

• Drive Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and reviews, and support CI/CD and release processes across firmware and systems tools.

• Identify risks, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment between technical work and business objectives.

• Communicate clearly with engineers, stakeholders, and leadership on status, risks, and timelines.

• Promote best practices in documentation, version control, and change tracking.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in technical project or program management roles.

• Proven experience managing software development projects.

• Experience managing new product development.

• Strong understanding of Agile software development processes and team dynamics.

• Familiarity with software release cycles and CI/CD concepts in embedded or Linux-based environments.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Git, Notion, and Confluence.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of embedded system architecture and hardware-software integration workflows.

• Familiarity with Linux systems concepts like user-space vs. kernel-space and driver architecture.

• Exposure to mixed-language environments, such as C/C++ and Python.

• Knowledge of Linux kernel modules, device trees, or board bring-up.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of North Reading, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
