Hyannis Family Medical Care dba Mashpee Family Medicine, busy Primary Care Office looking for an individual to join our family as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While our environment is fast-paced we like to have fun at work while helping patients improve their health. The individual who is picked must be able to deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of patients. Office hours are M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses
• Order and perform diagnostic tests
• Determine, plan and initiate appropriate treatment and adjust treatment if necessary
• Educate, instruct and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans and home care and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors
• Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
• Documents items such as: chief complaint, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment and plan
• Prescribes and administers medications, therapies, and procedures
• Orders lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provides advice on follow up
• Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
• Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintains quality of care standards as defined by the practice

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school
• Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of Massachusetts
• 1-2 years of clinical work experience
• Must be compassionate and personable
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong Computer Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000 - $140,000.00 per year
