Early Childhood Montessori Teacher
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and warm Montessori educator to join our Primary classroom. This is a highly collaborative environment where we value the "prepared adult" as much as the prepared environment. You will work alongside a supportive team to foster independence, curiosity, and emotional literacy in children during their most formative years.
What You’ll Do
- Guide & Observe: Facilitate the Montessori curriculum, offering lessons that honor the dignity and individual pace of each child.
- Collaborate: Work in lockstep with a supportive teaching team to maintain a cohesive, peaceful, and joyful classroom culture.
- Nurture: Create an emotionally literate environment where children feel safe to take risks and grow.
- Engage: Partner with families to provide insight into their child’s development and the beauty of the Montessori method.
What We Are Looking For
- Certification: A Montessori credential for the 3–6 age level (MACTE-accredited).
- Philosophy: A deep commitment to the "prepared adult"—someone who is self-reflective, patient, and collaborative.
- Soft Skills: A deep-seated belief in child-led learning, a calm classroom presence, and a desire to work in a "friends-like-family" team atmosphere.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Montessori environment is valued, but we prioritize a candidate’s alignment with our nurturing school culture.
