R&D Material Handler (Robotics)

At our client you will be part of a small, fast-moving robotics team, supporting our Prototype Operations by managing the movement of critical parts and materials for prototype builds. In this role, you will work closely with the Inventory Control Specialist and build technicians to ensure the timely delivery, organization, and tracking of materials in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Day to day activities:
● Prepare and kit materials for builds, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to the build team.
● Transport components, subassemblies, and circuit boards between inventory, build teams, and electrical technicians for rework and testing.
● Move completed or unused parts back to inventory, updating records to maintain inventory accuracy.
● Assist in tracking and verifying material availability, reporting shortages or discrepancies to the Inventory Control Specialist.
● Safely move materials between storage areas, build spaces, and test stations using appropriate handling methods.
● Support continuous improvements in material flow, organization, and tracking to enhance efficiency in a dynamic R&D environment.
Required Skills:
● Experience in material handling, kitting, or logistics in an R&D, prototype, or technical environment.
● Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or equivalent for inventory tracking.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple material flow tasks.
● Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and operating material handling equipment.
● Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets) for tracking and communication.
● Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with technicians and inventory staff.
