Who we need:
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and personable Concierge to join our team at a historic condominium building in Boston’s iconic Back Bay neighborhood—just a short walk from Copley Station. This 32-hour position plays a vital role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for residents, guests, and commercial tenants.
With 110 residential units and 27 commercial entities, our building operates across three daily shifts. The concierge is often the first point of contact and a key player in ensuring building operations run smoothly and safely around the clock.What you’ll do:
- Monitor building activity and control access to residential and other common areas.
- Preannounce and document electronically all visitors before allowing access beyond the lobby
- Enforce building policies and house rules to promote a safe and respectful environment.
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, and delivery personnel professionally and courteously.
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and service requests; accurately document all events.
- Coordinate package management, including logging, storing, and notifying residents of deliveries (including perishables).
- Oversee move-ins, move-outs, and large deliveries via the building’s loading dock.
- Be familiar with all key building mechanical areas, locations, and shut offs.
- Communicate effectively with the building manager and facilities director regarding any issues or resident concerns.
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by relaying essential information to the next shift.
- Support a team-oriented atmosphere and uphold a consistent standard of service.
- Minimum age: 21
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior concierge, hospitality, or front desk experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong judgment, dependability, and professionalism are essential
