Medical Scheduling Lead
We are seeking a skilled Medical Scheduling Lead to join our team. You will be trained at the front desk to manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, clinical messaging, and both check-in and check-out procedures. Your role will include reviewing provider schedules to efficiently plan patient care and communicating any schedule changes with providers.
Responsibilities- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and create a welcoming environment.
- Check patients in and out following clinic protocols.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility at each visit.
- Collect co-pays, balances, and required forms or documentation.
- Provide patients with instructions, directions, and general clinic information.
- Manage the reception area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and patient comfort.
- Handle walk-in patients, same-day requests, and urgent concerns in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for multiple providers and services.
- Verify appointment reasons and assign patients to the appropriate provider or service.
- Maintain and adjust provider schedules, templates, and availability.
- Send reminders, follow-up communications, and outreach for missed appointments.
- Monitor schedule accuracy, waitlists, cancellations, and same-day openings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a medical office.
- Experience interacting with patients.
- Experience coordinating schedules and answering phones.
100% on site First shift Mon-Fri
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
