Pay: $39,520.00 – $40,560.00 per year

GROUP HOME DIRECT SERVICE PROFESSIONAL

At LIFE, we support adults with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities in their pursuit of a meaningful, healthy independent life, for LIFE (Living Independently Forever).

The “Ideal” shifts we need to include in our East Falmouth Group Home are:

• Mondays 3PM – 9PM
• Tuesdays 9AM – 9PM
• Wednesdays 9AM – 7PM
• Thursdays 9AM – 9PM

Pay increase of $.50 per hour after passing MAP Training!

We are happy to work with you if you are a flexible applicant and are a match for the position to try to build a schedule that works with your personal life and the needs of the group home–PT or FT.

We have an excellent Benefits plan for staff working 30 hours + (on a regular basis) and staff working 20-29 hours are also eligible for PTO, Holidays, and Sick time.

The support of these heartwarming residents in their Group Home is done through:

• Instruction, guidance and by serving in a positive manner/role model to these adults
• Assisting them to maximize and maintain their independence in their home and in the community by assisting with life skills –cooking, planning, and reviewing daily/weekly schedules, cleaning.
• Assisting in preparation for their morning, evening or overnight routines as needed, etc. and on errands and social activities in the community or virtually.
• Role modelling and maintaining sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles.
• Applicant must be able to project a positive and patient personality and provide ongoing support, interaction, and encouragement to our clients.
• As needed–assisting in ADL’s utilizing protocols in place for resident and staff safety.
• Respect and maintain the Human Rights of the supported individuals in the home.
• Any other requirements of the position as needed and as directed by the Group Home Manager and when needed, the medical support team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be +18 years old
• MUST BE KIND, PATIENT, RESPONSIBLE and HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR
• MUST be able to stand, walk, support, and lift as necessary to support the residents of this home
• Valid driver’s license required with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed on the rare occasion when driving your personal vehicle is needed.)
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with supported individuals, co-workers, and parents
• Must be able to regularly manage an individual email account and basic computer entries as needed
• Must be dependable
• Must be willing to complete and/or attend required training classes including CPR/First Aid and MAP Training (provided by LIFE) and any other trainings as needed
• Per the state of MA DDS, MUST be able to pass CORI, DPPC and Fingerprint check and have an MVR record acceptable to LIFE’s Auto Insurance carrier
