Refugee Youth Mentoring Case Aide We are seeking a Refugee Youth

Mentoring Case Aide to join our multicultural New American Program team. This position is part-time, at 20 hours/week and will join the Youth Program to provide program management and youth group programming assistance to support the resettlement and integration programs for New Americans in Western Massachusetts. Position Details: Position Title: Refugee Youth Mentoring Case Aide Department: New American Program Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time 20hrs/week Reports to: Youth Program Coordinator Pay Range: \$17-\$19 per hour Responsibilities: Perform youth intakes into the Refugee Youth Mentoring program, including interviews with families and conducting assessments of each youth\'s interests, needs, and skills. Assist Youth Program Coordinator in establishing matches between approved mentors and clients (\"mentees\"). Regularly check in with participants in the program to assess progress towards goals, areas of needed support, and status of match relationships. Assemble and provide resources to participants relevant to their educational, vocational, social, and emotional goals. Organize group programming, such as vocational or technical training relevant to participants\' interests to develop mentees skillsets. Collaborate with agency partners to ensure client access to mainstream services such as higher education, internship, and work opportunities. Contribute to building programmatic capacity for new mentees and mentors. Communicate with Youth Program Coordinator regularly to ensure offered group programming and paired matches fully fulfill funder expectations for capacity and provided services, as outlined in grant contract. Maintain client case notes and documentation in line with requirements of the agency and funders. Perform all duties within the framework of the agency\'s mission, vision, and ethics. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred Fluency in one of the following languages a plus: Swahili, Arabic, Haitian Creole Computer skills, including fluency in Excel, Teams, and Word An ability to understand and interpret directions; communicate effectively in emails, phone correspondence, and communication with colleagues; and be responsive to changes in process or direction Valid MA driver\'s license. A driving history check will be performed for the final candidate. Experience or openness to working with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently, to plan and organize work, and follow tasks through completion. We offer a competitive compensation package.
