Territory Sales Manager

Job Description:
We're seeking a motivated and experienced insurance professional to develop and execute strategic marketing plans within a designated territory.

• Plan to produce budgeted premium volume and policy count for profitable lines of business.
• Use binding authority to support premium growth in targeted classes.
• Evaluate prospect agencies and recommend new appointments.
• Manage a sales pipeline.
• Drive submission activity in key classes and verticals to meet premium goals
• Analyze Power BI and comparative rater data to assess performance and influence agency behavior.
• Identify growth, consolidation and agency incentive opportunities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with agents, regional underwriting and claims teams, and home office departments.
• Communicate premium, submission and profit goals to agents; monitor results and coordinate action plans with key agency partners.
• Provide ongoing training to agency staff on new programs, products, services and systems.
• Monitor and analyze insurance market trends that may impact the territory and agency plant.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least four years of insurance experience in sales and commercial underwriting with a property and casualty company; or six years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience working with Power BI (preferred)
• Experience working with independent insurance agents (preferred)
• Experience in a similar sales and field role (preferred)
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication, including negotiation and presentation abilities
• Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently
• Excellent organizational ability with demonstrated mastery of planning
• Willingness to travel as needed, including overnight trips

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $145,00 annually.

The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
