Art Camp Coordinator for Summer Camp 2026 (four weeks)

This is a seasonal/temporary position

During our Summer 2026 camp vacation weeks, Arlington Center for the Arts offers a variety of fun, creative art camps for children in Grades 1-12. Our camps value imagination, artistic exploration and self-expression. Our in-person camp programs are scheduled to run Monday – Friday, from 9:00am - 4:15 pm.

Our Camp Coordinator will assist our year-round staff with the daily operations of the camp, including:

  • Camper behavioral management
  • Daily administrative tasks (printing camper nametags, organizing paperwork, etc.)
  • Leading outdoor games & activities
  • First Aid support
  • Classroom support
  • Overseeing camper check-in and check-out processes
  • substituting for teachers as needed

The Camp Coordinator will be contracted to work Monday - Friday, 8:45am - 4:15pm, with two unpaid half hour breaks each day. The following are the weeks available.

Week 2: 6/29-7/2 (4 days)

Week 3: 7/6-7/10

Week 7: 8/3-8/7

Week 8: 8/10-8/14

Qualifications:

  • 2 years lived experience working with children/students/youth
  • Outgoing, demonstrates preparedness, problem-solver, good communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to take initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills. Reliable.
  • Ability to resolve conflict with youth.
  • Classroom management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to work well in a team
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and Google suites, and willingness to learn additional administrative processes
  • ability to bring personal laptop/tablet to work
