Job Details

• Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 (Boston area)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 29, 2026 – June 27, 2026)
• Setting: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – perioperative/postoperative care
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, varied start times (6:30am, 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am); up to 3 night call shifts in 6 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience
• Pediatric PACU experience required (pediatric recovery and monitoring)
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Ability to work variable start times and take night call as scheduled
• Successful completion of facility orientation and required checklists

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate post-anesthesia and postoperative care to adult and pediatric patients
• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia, assess airway, vitals, pain, and level of consciousness, and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and manage postoperative pain and nausea
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge criteria, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
