Your Role

We are seeking a motivated and results‑driven Business Development Professional to support strategic growth within the life sciences industry. This role requires a strong background in selling professional services across validation, quality, engineering, and related disciplines, along with the ability to build and sustain long‑term customer relationships. Extensive travel may be required, up to 100%, based on business needs.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with overall organizational growth objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the life sciences market.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers, fostering strong, long‑term relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market conditions and competitor activity to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Drive client engagement through consultative selling and tailored solution delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and performance targets.
  • Utilize data‑driven insights to monitor performance and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns to ensure continued partnership success.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans related to business development activities; track performance against targets.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on pipeline activity and market conditions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand market presence and visibility.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive client experience.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to support a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related.
  • Proven success in a business development, sales, sales engineer, project engineer, or related role in the life sciences industry.
  • Direct industry, client-facing experience in an engineering or project management role within pharmaceutical manufacturing and biotechnology is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in selling professional services related to validation services, quality, engineering, and so on.
  • Proven success in effectively targeting opportunities for growth, prospect, and nurturing potential leads.
  • Proven success in achieving sales goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the life science sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry market.
  • Proactive, go-getter attitude, and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented, ability to set goals and develop/drive action plans.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers and additional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated and driven, and willing to learn.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • No C2C at this time.
