Licensed Journeyman Plumber

Licensed Journeyman and 3rd to 5th-year Apprentices (MA or RI)

Piping Systems is a well-established, platinum award-winning piping and plumbing contractor whose been in business for over 50 years! We specialize in commercial and industrial piping, plumbing, and fire protection. Work radius is within 60 miles of Fall River, MA. Most of our team members have been with us for 20-40 years...YOU could become a part of our growing family!

We are currently expanding our plumbing division and taking on a wide range of projects, including multi-unit residential, restaurants, schools, and other commercial and institutional facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of our continued growth in plumbing while working alongside an experienced and dedicated team.

Our plumbing work includes installation, maintenance, and repair of:

• Domestic water distribution systems.
• Sanitary and storm drainage systems.
• Gas piping systems.
• Fixtures, equipment, and commercial kitchen plumbing.
• Specialty systems as required by project specifications.

SPECIFIC STANDARDS:

• Keep abreast of the latest methodologies relating to the plumbing and piping trades.
• Ensure the quality of the plumbing and piping projects.
• Ensure that the work performed reflects the specifications and/or blueprints for the project.
• Perform and supervise plumbing installations, piping assembly, system testing, and repairs.
• Assure continuous workflow by thinking ahead of the work to be done and arranging for materials to be available when needed by working with the purchasing agent.
• Apprising the Project Manager of changes to the scope of work so that a change order can be requested to cover the extra costs.
• Make the Project Manager aware of ways to decrease costs by suggesting alternate ways of completing the projects that are according to code and meet or exceed the customers expectations.
• Be a coach, teacher, and mentor for trainees and/or apprentices in both plumbing and piping.
• Keep accurate time records.
• Perform work in conformance with applicable plumbing and piping codes.
• Work with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed within or below the budgeted amount for labor and material.
• Anything else as required by the supervisor.
• All job sites are to be left as clean or cleaner than when work commenced.
• All customers are to be dealt with in a polite, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Eliminate customer complaints or rework required due to below-standard work.
