Principal Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Kforce's client - a growing, innovative technology company - is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) in Marlborough, MA to join a collaborative engineering team developing secure, high-performance-embedded solutions for advanced communications systems. Summary: In this key role, the Principal Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) will design and develop software for both current and next-generation advanced communications products, while balancing complex technical challenges. Your contributions will play a critical role in advancing secure communications technology used worldwide. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and integrate scalable embedded software for global communications systems
• Develop secure, reliable software solutions for cybersecurity-focused applications
• Collaborate within an agile, multidisciplinary team to reach company goals
• Contribute to continuous integration, automated testing, and ongoing software development processes
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• Expertise in the design and implementation of embedded software systems using C and C++
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying embedded Linux-based systems
• Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP
• Knowledge of kernel, drivers, or system-level integration is preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
