Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Process Engineer to join our Test Execution team. This team is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for the testing and validation of our iron-air battery. Your contributions will streamline the end-to-end operational workflow for battery cell testing, from material readiness to test execution. What you'll do:
Contribute to and execute the continuous improvement of test execution, including documentation, process reliability, and vendor management.
Serve as a technical resource to support new product introduction and method development within the Test Execution team.
Support standardization and successful handoff of test systems and procedures from engineers to technicians.
Develop tools, procedures, and work instructions to enable efficient execution and documentation of standard work tasks.
Support troubleshooting on proprietary electrochemical cells and commercial testing instruments.
Assist in the implementation of robust preventative maintenance workflows and data tracking.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering, or a related field.
1–4 years of related experience in electrical systems and mechanical systems, preferably in a battery, electrochemical, or lab-scale testing environment.
A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to own and implement processes from concept through sustainment.
Proven ability to analyze and improve lab processes while balancing safety, efficiency, and data quality.
Applied experience setting up and troubleshooting power supply equipment and data acquisition systems.
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), failure documentation, and structured troubleshooting methods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interface between engineering and software teams and translate requirements between stakeholders.
