About the Family Hello! My name is Jacob, and I'm a full-time single dad of two wonderful children: a 1-year-old and an 8-year-old. I have full custody of my youngest and shared custody of my eldest, who spends part of the week with me. We live in the Boston area. We are a warm, welcoming family looking for a caring, responsible, and dependable au pair to join our household and help create a loving and supportive environment for my kids. Responsibilities Childcare Duties: * Drop-off and Pick-up: Safely take the children to and from daycare/school. * Daily Care: Assist with simple tasks like giving baths and helping with the children's daily routines. * Engagement: Spend quality time with the children, fostering a positive and nurturing environment. Household Tasks (Child-Related): * Laundry for the children (washing, folding, and organizing clothes). * Preparing light meals or snacks for the kids as needed. * Tidying up shared spaces and the children's rooms or play areas. Schedule * Weekdays: Assistance during daycare drop-off and pick-up times. * Evenings: Help with dinner prep, baths, and bedtime routines. * Weekends: Occasionally assist with child-related tasks (as needed, with prior agreement). The schedule will include plenty of flexibility, and we'll ensure you have enough time for rest and personal pursuits.
