• Provide safe and effective perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional.
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere strictly to infection control protocols.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures by anticipating clinical needs.
• Monitor patients’ physiological responses throughout surgery and provide timely interventions.
• Manage surgical documentation accurately and efficiently in accordance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality and coordinated patient care.
• Participate in call coverage as assigned, including weekday and weekend rotations.
• Support OR turnover and maintain compliance with sterilization and safety standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency maintenance.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (in any setting)
• Operating Room experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR safety practices
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity and time-sensitive environments.
