About T Market: T Market is a premier grocerant (grocery + restaurant) located in the high-traffic Natick Mall. We are creating a modern culinary destination that combines a high-quality fresh market with an exciting food hall experience.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Bake Shop Lead to run the daily operations of our in-house Bake Shop.

This is a "Player-Coach" role. We need a lead who is hands-on: someone who possesses professional baking skills to produce high-quality breads and pastries alongside the team, while also handling the management responsibilities (scheduling, ordering, and quality control) to keep the shop running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Operations (The "Coach" Part)

• Lead the Team: Supervise, train, and schedule the bake shop staff to ensure efficient daily production and coverage.
• Inventory Control: Manage ordering of flour, ingredients, and packaging. Monitor waste/shrinkage and adjust production levels based on sales trends.
• Merchandising: Ensure the Bake Shop display cases look abundant, fresh, and appealing to customers at all times.

2. Baking & Production (The "Player" Part)

• Hands-On Baking: Actively participate in daily baking duties. You must be able to execute recipes for breads, buns, and pastries to set the standard for the team.
• Quality Control: Taste-test and inspect products daily to ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance.
• Training: Teach staff proper baking techniques and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in a professional bakery shop or pastry kitchen is required.
• Leadership: Prior experience as a Shift Lead, Head Baker, or Supervisor is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Must be proficient in baking fundamentals (mixing, proofing, shaping, oven management).
• Language: Proficient in English. Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• Work Style: Reliable, organized, and willing to roll up your sleeves and work with the team.
• Availability: Ability to work early mornings / weekends.
