Purchasing Assistant
Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Canton, Massachusetts
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $25.00
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Tracking and following up on purchase orders
- Communicating with vendors
- Monitoring deliveries and logistics
- Coordinating with drivers and resolving transportation issues
- Ensuring timely updates and follow-through on material-related activities
- Following up on P.Os and pushing if needed
Requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate logistics and communicate effectively with vendors and drivers
- Adaptability to a hybrid work environment
- Previous experience in purchasing or supply chain preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a plus
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with procurement processes
