Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently (subject to your credentials)
  • Providing education to patients and their families about health promotion, prevention, and disease management strategies
  • Prescribing medications and medical therapies within the defined scope of practice
  • Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care supervision
  • Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, holistic care
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic health record systems (EHR)
Educational Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
Necessary Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Massachusetts
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or similar specialty
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
