About the Role:
Join SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY SERVICES, INC as a Speech Assistant and play a vital role in supporting our clients' communication needs. In this dynamic position, you'll work closely with experienced speech-language pathologists to provide high-quality therapy services in a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans.
- Conduct assessments and document client progress in therapy sessions.
- Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions and activities.
- Provide support to clients during therapy exercises and activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy space to enhance client experience.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to client care discussions.
- Stay updated on best practices and new techniques in speech therapy.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field.
- Experience working with children or adults with speech and language disorders preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and tools.
- Compassionate demeanor and a passion for helping others.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
