Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Newton, MA providing home health services to patients across the North Region. Provide physical therapy in patients‘ residences for individuals with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate care. Utilize timely electronic documentation and interdisciplinary communication in accordance with agency policies and standards of practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required prior to the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Minimum 1 year of certified home health experience in a certified home health agency.
• Minimum 1 year of case management experience.
• Ability to travel to patient cases as assigned within the service area.
• Weekend rotations required approximately once every 6 weeks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic clinical documentation in home health settings.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1630.
• Service area includes Boxford, Danvers, Hamilton, Lynnfield, Middleton, North Andover, North Reading, Peabody, Topsfield, and Wenham.
• Weekend rotations occur approximately once every 6 weeks.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned within the region.
