CNC Programmer – Mastercam / Multi‑Axis (Precision Machining)

Location: Pocasset, MA (Onsite).
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 (flexible, depending on experience).
Schedule: Full‑time, 1st shift.
A confidential precision machining company on the South Shore is seeking a CNC Programmer with strong Mastercam and multi‑axis experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complex parts, autonomy, and owning programming strategy in a high‑precision environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Program complex parts in Mastercam (3‑axis, 4‑axis, and some 5‑axis).
- Create toolpaths, optimize feeds/speeds, and reduce cycle times.
- Design workholding and fixturing (SolidWorks or similar).
- Select tooling and develop machining strategies for tight‑tolerance parts.
- Support setups and troubleshoot machining issues with operators.
- Edit and maintain post processors.
- Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and process improvements.
- Work with aerospace/defense/medical‑grade materials.
- Maintain documentation and program libraries.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience.
- Strong Mastercam experience (required).
- Multi‑axis programming (4‑axis required; 5‑axis preferred).
- Experience with Haas UMC, DMG Mori, Mazak, Okuma, or similar.
- Ability to design fixtures and workholding.
- Strong understanding of tooling and machining strategy.
- Ability to read complex aerospace/medical prints.
