Guest Services - Adventure Guide
About the Role:
Ramblewild is seeking active, outgoing individuals to join our team as an Adventure Guide. Guides are the heart of the guest experience - ensuring safety, delivering top-notch service, and inspiring a sense of adventure throughout each visit. You’ll lead guests through every step of their aerial park journey: check-in, gear-up, orientation, course navigation, and more. You’ll also provide instruction and encouragement on the course, with the ability to step in for technical rescues or first aid as needed.
We’re looking for candidates with strong communication skills, outdoor experience, and a genuine passion for working with people in nature-based settings.
About Ramblewild:
Ramblewild is a mission-driven adventure destination designed to inspire learning and conservation through immersive outdoor recreation. Located on 900 acres of forestland in the heart of the Berkshires, our property features a aerial adventure park, a starter aerial trail and hiking trails. Our guests include families, schools, universities, camps, businesses, and outdoor enthusiasts. Ramblewild is a subsidiary of Feronia Forests, a proud Certified B Corporation recognized for its environmental leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead small and large groups through the full aerial park experience, from check-in to course completion.
- Provide safety briefings, equipment fitting, and orientation before guests climb.
- Demonstrate proper use of gear and guide guests through course elements.
- Offer instruction and support while guests are on the course.
- Monitor activity to ensure guest safety.
- Perform technical rescues and administer first aid if needed.
- Help create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all guests.
- Embody Ramblewild’s safety-first culture and uphold our high standards of professionalism, guest care, and overall experience.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience in outdoor recreation, guiding, or ropes course facilitation.
- Comfort working at heights and in all weather conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with a wide range of guests (ages, experience levels, background).
- Physical stamina and strength for lifting, climbing, and long days outdoors.
- Familiarity with rope systems or technical rigging (preferred but not required).
- Retail, hospitality, or customer service experience (a plus).
- Basic computer and phone skills.
Requirements:
- First Aid and CPR certification (or higher, e.g. EMT, WFR, OEC).
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- CORI background check (required prior to hire).
Compensation: $16.50-$19.50/hour, DOE, + tips.
