Job Overview:
We are a road, utility and site development contractor seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. As a Project Manager and Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, estimating costs, compiling estimates and managing projects through completion.

Estimating Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements
• Conduct initial site visits to assess project scope and identify potential risks or issues
• Utilize take-off software (Bluebeam and Agtek) to perform quantity take-offs
• Procure, compile and evaluate subcontractor and material supplier quotations
• Utilize estimating software (HeavyBid) to develop accurate project costs
• Prepare detailed reports and proposals for clients, highlighting cost breakdowns and timelines
• Oversee compilation of bid packages and ensure bid completeness prior to submission

Project Management Responsibilities:

• Prepare project budgets based on original estimates
• Perform project buyouts with subcontractors and material suppliers
• Utilize scheduling software (Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project) build project schedules and maintain throughout the course of construction
• Manage/compile submittal packages
• Manage/schedule/coordinate material deliveries
• Manage/schedule/coordinate subcontractors
• Daily coordination with field personnel, general contractor and/or engineer
• Utilize project management software (HeavyJob) to analyze daily reports to ensure accurate costs and track daily project costs
• Approve project specific invoices
• Prepare monthly/bi-monthly payment applications
• Estimate and track change orders
• Conduct weekly site visits and attend project meetings

Requirements:

• Prior experience as an Estimator and Project Manager
• Proficient in reading and understanding plans and specifications
• Strong knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, HeavyBid, HeavyJob or similar project management and estimating tools
• Ability to work well in a fast pace environment
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all team members
