ESY 1.1 School Nurse | Chelsea, MA

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school Chelsea, MA who is currently seeking a School Based 1:1 RN/LPN to work this summer for an ESY Program.

Details of the Position Include:

• Pay Rate: up to $45.00/hour / up to $50.00/hour (depending on licensure)

• Start Date: July 6th, 2026

• Duration: 5 week program

• Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 16 hours /week

• Requirements/Description:

• Looking for a 1:1 nurse to work with a 19 year old male student with epilepsy.

• Student has frequent seizures and wears a helmet throughout the day for safety precautions in the event a seizure takes place.

• Nurse would have to administer a nasal seizure medication and assist with ADLs such as toileting.

• Student is in the graduate program at the high school and does vocational outings 3 days a week.

• Nurse would attend these with the student off campus.

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the nursing process and delivering individualized student care within the school environment. This role ensures that all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and in accordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the School District and Amergis Healthcare.

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing

• One year of school nursing experience, preferred

• Pediatric experience, preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
