Job Description
The General Production Worker performs a variety of production and cleaning tasks in a controlled shop environment, ensuring products meet quality and customer specifications. This role involves operating equipment safely, following detailed work instructions, handling chemicals responsibly, and maintaining accurate documentation while supporting a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Perform chemical cleaning, chromate, and humidity testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Identify potential issues or problems in the production process and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately for each order, including forms and records related to production and testing.
- Follow detailed work instructions, including work orders and specification sheets, to ensure all customer requirements are consistently met.
- Independently operate production and cleaning equipment in an efficient and safe manner while maintaining required quality standards.
- Handle, store, and dispose of materials and chemicals used to wash parts according to established guidelines and safety practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-kept work area to support safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Uphold the company’s core values in daily work, including reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Stand and move throughout the production area for the majority of the shift to support ongoing production activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production, assembly, machine operation, and general labor needs.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as required.
- Capability to perform general production, general labor, and cleaning tasks.

- Ability to support mixing and handling of materials used in the cleaning process.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
- Strong awareness of safety practices, including safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
- No prior experience required; openness to learning and developing new skills on the job.

- Interest in assembly work and machine operation within a production environment.
- Sharp attention to detail when following work orders and specification sheets.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on various general production tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a mid-size shop environment with moderate physical activity, including standing and moving for most of the shift.

Work Environment
This role is based in a mid-size, temperature-controlled shop that is very clean and well maintained. General production employees will stand and move throughout the facility for most of the shift, supporting active production processes. The schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. When cleaning parts, employees will need to wear a mask most of the time as part of standard safety practices. The environment involves the use of hand tools, production equipment, and cleaning materials, with clear procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals. The dress code emphasizes safety and cleanliness, including appropriate protective equipment when performing chemical cleaning and related tasks.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
