Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

Location: Falmouth, MA 02540

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Weekly Pay: $1,209 Gross

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support hospital pharmacy operations. In this role, you will assist pharmacists by performing technical pharmacy duties including medication preparation, inventory management, and distribution to patient care units. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient pharmacy experience and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process medication orders within the pharmacy department

• Prepare medications for distribution to patient care units

• Distribute medications throughout the hospital as required

• Maintain medication inventory and monitor expiration dates

• Order medications from suppliers and process medication returns

• Prepare parenteral products in accordance with pharmacy procedures

• Pre-package and label medications into unit-dose containers

• Refill and replenish automated medication stations (Pyxis experience preferred)

• Maintain pharmacy records and regulatory documentation

• Assist with training and orientation of pharmacy support staff

• Support billing and administrative pharmacy functions

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department

• Provide professional and responsive service to patients, staff, and visitors

Preferred Skills

• IV room experience

• Experience with Pyxis medication station replenishment

• Medication reconciliation experience (preferred but not required)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Active Massachusetts State Pharmacy Technician Registration required

• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification required

• Minimum 1 year of recent Pharmacy Technician experience (within the last 3 years)

• 3+ years of experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
