Position Summary
A highly respected healthcare organization in Worcester, Massachusetts, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Director to provide comprehensive leadership for its Critical Care Services , including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
This confidential Director-level position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and is accountable for the overall strategic and operational success of the assigned multi-unit critical care areas. The role assumes 24/7 responsibility for unit operations, focusing on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and appropriate patient care , promoting staff competency, and managing clinical resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership and oversight for all clinical and operational activities within the critical care service lines.
Actively participate in the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice across the multi-unit level.
Serve as a professional role model and advocate for the discipline of nursing within the organization.
Collaborate directly with the CNO to align unit objectives with overall hospital strategy for clinical excellence and patient safety.
Qualifications and Experience

Education (Required)Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field OR a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Education (Preferred)Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master’s Degree in a healthcare-related field.
Experience (Required)2+ years of progressive ICU management experience in a hospital setting, held at a Director or Manager level.
LicensureActive and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
CertificationCurrent CPR certification is required.
SkillsHighly effective interpersonal and communication skills , proven leadership ability, and strong hospital operational expertise.
