Point of Care Tester

MFM Health is looking for patient service-focused individuals who can administer minor medical tests and work with patients on paperwork and questions.

Our team focuses on getting patients fast, reliable test results. We are looking to fill the role of customer service, tester, and swabber. All candidates must be cross-trained. We will conduct training. Testing experience is also needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Screen patients presenting symptoms of COVID-19, Flu, and/or Strep.
• Conduct nasal and nasopharyngeal tests and throat swabs.
• Follow infection control protocols.
• Enter data into EMR - Athena.
• Counsel patients on results and communicate any positive results.
• Open or close testing site; clean up area and dispose of trash.
• Answer the back line.
• Work on provider buckets.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts.

Pay Range: $19-24/hr; commensurate with experience

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or medical training certificate preferred.
• Prior experience performing point-of-care testing (COVID-19, Flu, Strep) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and proper specimen handling.
• Proficiency with computers and EMR systems (Athena experience a plus).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Ability work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• CPS/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities an clinic needs.
