DevOps Engineer

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote DevOps Engineer.

This role will support infrastructure, deployment pipelines, system reliability, and cloud-based operations for a growing U.S.-based organization.

The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to improve system performance, automate workflows, and ensure reliable application delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and system operations
• Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
• Implement security best practices and system controls
• Manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Support scaling and performance optimization initiatives
• Document systems, processes, and configurations
• Improve operational efficiency through automation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or system administration
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
