Job Description:
Lead strategic and operational IT communications for a higher education client, ensuring alignment, clarity, and quality across all internal messaging.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Oversee daily execution of IT communications for service updates, launches, and incidents
-
Manage communication operations including QA, brand alignment, and editorial standards
-
Write and edit content for email, web, signage, executive messaging, and events
-
Advise IT leadership on communication strategies, timing, and best practices
-
Lead crisis/incident communications and support organizational change initiatives
-
Collaborate with UX, marketing, and knowledge teams to ensure cohesive messaging
-
Mentor junior team members and represent communications in strategic discussions

Proven experience in IT communications

Ability to lead small teams or programs

Expertise in translating technical content into clear messaging

Strategic communication planning for complex tech initiatives

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel)

Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies
