Cashier

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team at Grove Village Market. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly
- Upsell products or services to increase sales revenue
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with technology sales or technical products is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly checkout area
