About This Role

Design, documentation, and sales support of building automation systems (BASs) in compliance with project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of complete building automation systems including the specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware.
  • Documentation of the BAS design (i.e. submittals) and revision control of the resultant documents.
  • Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal.
  • Adherence to project requirements and company and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation.
  • Technical support during the selling process to ensure that sales representatives accurately address customer requirements and propose the best possible solutions.
  • Identification and communication of project opportunities and risks related to cost, time, and technical considerations.
  • Adherence to safety standards. High regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Adherence to ethics standards. Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Building Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by our company’s insurance carrier
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of control logic
  • Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
  • Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred

Pay Range

The salary for this position is between $36,750– $127,500 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
