1st Shift Clean Room Assembler
This role involves assembling neurosurgical sponges in a clean room environment using a thread and sewing needle. You will perform highly repetitive, detail-oriented tasks to support the production of medical devices, following written work instructions and strict quality standards.
Responsibilities- Assemble neurosurgical sponges in a clean room using a thread and sewing needle.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures for medical device assembly.
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks with consistent quality and accuracy.
- Use hand tools and manual techniques to complete precise, small-component assembly work.
- Inspect assembled products visually to ensure they meet quality and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with clean room protocols.
- Handle materials and components carefully to avoid contamination or damage.
- Document production activities as required and follow all production and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
- Arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance to support continuous production operations.
- Experience working in a clean room or controlled environment.
- Hands-on assembly or production experience, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
- Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills for working with small components and sewing needles.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written work instructions accurately and consistently.
- Comfort using basic hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
- Demonstrated reliability and good attendance record.
- Ability to maintain focus and quality in a structured, process-driven environment.
- Previous medical device assembly experience.
- Experience with sewing or needlework in a professional or personal setting.
- General production or manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with clean room protocols and contamination control.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
You will contribute directly to the production of medical devices that support patient care, working in a structured environment with clear processes and expectations. The role offers a consistent first-shift schedule, providing predictable hours and work-life balance. You will develop specialized skills in clean room operations and medical device assembly while working alongside a supportive production team.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a clean room medical device production facility. You will work on a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment is controlled and cleanliness-focused, with strict protocols to maintain product quality and prevent contamination. You will work at an assembly station using sewing needles, thread, and hand tools, following detailed work instructions. The dress code follows clean room requirements, which may include wearing protective garments and other appropriate attire to maintain a sterile and controlled workspace.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beverly, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
